The Department of Restorative Dentistry at the School of Dentistry (UW-SOD) is the largest teaching department within the UW-SOD. The Graduate Prosthodontic Program, formally named the University of Washington School of Dentistry Graduate Prosthodontics Program, is organizationally positioned within the Department of Restorative Dentistry. There are three (3) residents in each year group for a total of nine (9) residents. It is important to us that all employees feel valued, respected and included. The Dental Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Director of Graduate Prosthodontics and to the Maxillofacial Prosthodontist in the faculty practice. This individual is responsible for providing laboratory support and instructional /training to the graduate students in the Graduate Prosthodontic Program using analog and digital technology (50%) and for performing maxillofacial laboratory duties for the Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Practice located within the UW-SOD (50%) as well as. The Dental Laboratory Technician is expected to comply with UW-SOD policies and regulations for health and safety, HIPPA, OSHA, and WISHA.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduation and four years of experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician, one of which must have been at the Dental Laboratory Technician II level. Training in an accredited dental technician school may be substituted, year-for-year, for up to two years experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
