POSITION SUMMARY:

Demand Planning Analyst

The role of the Demand Planning Analyst is to provide functional expertise and analytics to generate accurate demand forecasts to optimize the amount of inventory to be supplied. The goal is to enable the brand’s top line financial targets while maximizing gross margin dollars. This role will work collaboratively with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to purchase the appropriate inventory based on demand forecasts. This role is also heavily involved in the Sales & Operations processes and is responsible for driving continuous improvement within this function.

• $75-85k

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Distribution Center and oversee the fulfillment of products to customers
• Achieve or exceed the identified goals and KPI targets, supporting department goals, and KPI targets as defined by leadership
• Responsible for collecting, assessing, and planning ‘SKU’ level demand needs from each sales channel (e-Commerce, Wholesale, Retail)
• Responsible for tying purchase plans to the budget with the guidance from the Finance and Sales/Marketing teams
• Drives sales and margin improvements through forecast accuracy and inventory management
• Analyze and identify demand and supply gaps, take action to resolve and communicate them to the business
• Assist with the analytics to support the distribution of inventory to meet market demand within all sales channels, with the goal to maximize sales revenues and gross margin dollars
• Implement efficient processes and standards throughout the Operations department

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 2-3 years of proven work experience in Inventory Management or Demand/Supply Planning
• Knowledge and experience in soft goods and apparel product creation and go-to-market processes
• Solid judgement and business acumen with the ability to make good decisions
• Highly comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data
• Experience in Shopify, NetSuite, or other Apparel/Footwear/Accessory ERP systems
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
• BS/BA degree in supply chain management or business administration (finance or accounting) or equivalent degree or experience required
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with several cross functional teams
• Ability to collaborate and influence others
• Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
