Overview:
Archer Western/Traylor Bros. JV, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking an Deckhand for the Howard Frankland Bridge Replacement, in Tampa, FL.

The Primary function of a Deckhand is to assist with operation and maintenance of barges on the site of construction.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Making tow, transferring and laying rigging
  • Conduct occasional barge inspections and general housekeeping duties
  • May perform other related duties as required
  • Assist construction crews with structures in and around the water
Qualifications:
  • Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
  • 3-5 Years Experience Preferred
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
