Day Porter / Housekeeper Jobs

$500 sign on bonus.Astoria Place of Silverton is looking for a full-time day porter with experience in housekeeping and floor cleaning maintenance. We are a 98 bed long-term care facility and our passion is our residents. A love and respect for the residents is a must for this position.Job descriptionEmployees are moving and on their feet the entire shift length (8 hours). Walking, bending and squatting are done throughout the shift.DutiesCleaning/stocking restrooms and break rooms throughout the facilityMaintaining other common areas including lobbies and entrancesFulfilling resident and management requests during the dayDustingVacuumingEmptying garbage cansSweeping/mopping floorsCleaning tablesRequirementsAbility to effectively and positively communicate with residents and fellow employees/supervisionPrompt and very consistent attendance criticalStrong work ethic and ability to perform duties with restricted communications while in resident areasGood physical health – job requires good fitness/strength, including an ability to walk throughout the day and move heavier loads (up to 35lbs.) as requiredCome join our team as we care for those who cannot care for themselves!
