Parsons is on the hunt for a talented Data Specialist to join our elite Mission Solutions team!

As a Data Specialist / Data Scientist / Data Analyst with us, you will be part of a quality-driven team, providing crucial support to an array of cutting-edge software tools that empower the DoD community with actionable insights. Our systems have a remarkable 20+ year history of seamlessly integrating data and publications for critical intelligence work, making us a go-to partner in this space.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Capturing, developing, and documenting some or all of the following: data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements
  • Understanding, maintaining, and improving data integrity
  • Presenting information using data visualization techniques
  • Building models to address business problems
  • Undertaking data collection, preprocessing, and analysis
  • Technical problem solving
  • Providing technical support to a team of engineers and our customers
  • Transforming XML using XSLT

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

  • No clearance required to start. However, you must be willing and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with a CI Polygraph
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and come up with potential solutions
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree, OR
  • 1+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree, OR
  • Working knowledge of structured data formats and associated files like HTML, XML, XML Schema and XSLT
  • 0+ years of relevant experience with PhD
  • A degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or similar with
    • 3+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree, OR
    • 1+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree, OR
    • 0+ years of relevant experience with PhD

  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain an XML schema
  • Oxygen XML Editor

Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
