We’re working with one of the nation’s oldest and largest financial institutions, with $179.2 billion in assets, they rank 15th among banks in the country . Headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, our client operates in both Consumer Banking and Commercial Banking, with 1,000 branches in 11 states and a broad range of commercial clients.
The Data Scientist will be responsible for building and maintaining mocked data to support testing exercises related to personalized communications via several channels, such as email, SMS, mobile app, and other real-time connections.
Key responsibilities:
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation
- Translating requirements into a comprehensive set of relevant test records across all communications
- Programmatically building and maintaining eligible test records for evaluation at any given time and making these available to the Pega decision engine
- Gathering requirements for specific communications
- Reviewing QC reports related to the Pega decision engine
- Participating in tests to confirm delivery success, review communication format, and verify any sequencing logic among multiple messages
- Working with other functional teams to coordinate the above activities
- Documenting and organizing the results of testing efforts
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience with Pega is a plus, but not required
- Strong programming capabilities in SAS and/or SQL required, with an emphasis on data transformation and manipulation. SAS Macro experience is a plus.
- Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
- Ability to work independently, follow tight deadlines, and react quickly to changes required
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills required
