JOB OVERVIEW:
As part of the Analytics team at MarkeTeam, it is our role to identify meaningful data points and specific recommendations to grow our clients’ programs, maximize their return on investment and anticipate their next opportunities. The Data Scientist will work with client data to create/implement statistical predictive/prescriptive models for donor and prospective donor universes, develop donor profiles, utilize cluster analysis, analyze fundraising campaign results, formulate sensitivity analyses, prepare cash flow reports, forecast revenue, create interactive dashboards, and optimize segmentation of data for ongoing fundraising programs. Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and very organized with the ability to multi-task to deliver timely output and handle shifting priorities professionally. The ability to manage/manipulate large data sets efficiently while keeping data very organized and clean as well
as continual improvement of new/innovative data visualization techniques are also important. Applicants should have in-depth skills using Microsoft Excel, and other Office products as well as experience with database analytics and file manipulation using SQL and R or JMP.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create additional analytics for evaluation of program performance including comprehensive file audits, donor profiles, cash flow reports, revenue forecasts, interactive dashboards, and long-term value analysis.
- Develop Predictive models based on logistic regression, linear regression, cluster analysis, and other techniques using R to optimize audience selection for fundraising campaigns
- Apply predictive models to audiences for optimal campaign selection
- Produce and analyze regular campaign and program results
- Evaluate model performance and reevaluate models as necessary
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support decision making
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Position Qualifications:
- Intellectual curiosity and professional ownership
- 3+ years analysis experience building predictive models in R
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and/or Power BI
- Self-starter personality who can operate with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Excellent ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Able to manipulate and leverage large amounts of data into meaningful reporting and ad-hoc analysis
- Exceptional analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically
Education Level:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mathematical/engineering/technically oriented major. Master’s degree would be a plus, but not required if the candidate has 3+ years’ experience in marketing analytics.
