Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist to support an information technology and services firm in Fort Meade, MD.


This is an onsite role and relocation assistance is available.


Requires an active TS/SCI CI Poly


Job Summary:


The Data Scientist will support algorithm development; support queries from analysts.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Writing reusable code in Python, Java, MySQL, or Machine Learning to refine through code review and discussion.
  • Applying statistics to understand the significance of different attributes.
  • Work with clients and co-workers to refine understanding of the business problem at hand
  • Exploration, cleaning, and wrangling data


Requirements


Education:


  • BS or MS in Operation Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields.


Required:


  • Familiarity with commercial and open-source data science software.
  • Experience applying Data Science methods to real-world problems.
  • Proficient with Python, Java, and Machine Learning.
  • Familiarity with relational databases.
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Science role.
  • Experience with data wrangling, advanced statistical data analysis, and modeling.
  • Security+ certified.
  • Ability to communicate complex models and concepts in non-technical language.


Preferred:


  • Experience with AWS and SQL
