Job Description

Join our collaborative and global team as a Data Scientist within Business Technology Solutions (BTS), supporting the Global Compound Logistics and Operations (GCLO) organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your lab experience to develop and enhance your business-tech skills while contributing to AbbVie's mission of positively impacting patients' lives by advancing the future of medicine. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining documentation for business applications, including user manuals, system requirements, and process flows.
  • Conduct training sessions for users on new or existing systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Working closely with the Global Compound Logistics and Operations (GCLO) organization to understand business workflows and requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Providing technical support to the GCLO daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally. Communicate with colleagues/management regarding timelines. Evaluate issues to manager as appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities of self and team
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Document and manage requirements and user stories
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Suite

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

  • Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills with strong customer focus
  • Experience handling compound or biologic samples/containers and use of an inventory management system, preferred
  • Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years’ experience or master’s degree. Background in scientific field as well as Information Systems experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with automated equipment preferred
  • Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
  • Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
