Salary Range : $61,900 - $92,900 Annual
Job Details
The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Data & Reporting Analyst to provide our internal and external customers with routine and ad-hoc reporting as well as project level data analysis used to monitor performance metrics. This includes examining the impact of process changes, helping production and management personnel better understand and identify risks, validating key assumptions, and supporting business decisions. This person will work with multiple sources of data and systems, including Business Objects, Access, Tableau, and Alteryx to provide information to numerous business partners.
This is your opportunity to support and administer high level dashboards, scorecards, and key risk indicators for business partners and leadership.
As a Data & Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
  • Executing and maintaining forecasting models of simple complexity to project business needs and /or results
  • Designing, developing, testing and validating new reports, dashboards and processes of simple complexity
  • Supporting business partners with various ad hoc analyses designed to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of each department
  • Supporting the development of techniques and models to evaluate business results, risk exposure, and identify drivers of deviations from plan, including sales and agent practices, claims and persistency experience, processing methods, team production and utilization, staffing forecasts and/or operational expenses
  • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
  • Supporting end user reporting requirements gathering and analysis in consultation with Business Analysts and end users
  • Executing and maintaining basic financial analyses including cost benefit analyses, cost estimates, and decision support analyses to provide business partners with the financial impact information to make business decisions
  • Administering weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards and reports
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across our analytical and data management tool sets (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) through input and testing
  • Understanding and applying continuous improvement processes, policies, and procedures and internal control standards to ensure “One Source of Truth” reporting
  • Identifying and supporting opportunities for automated workflows
  • Collecting, analyzing, mining and leveraging data stored in data warehouse universes and databases utilizing company supported tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Python, BI, etc.)
The Data & Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:
  • Have proven ability to multi-task and have strong attention to detail
  • Are a strong verbal and written communicator, especially as it related to presenting fact-based analyses to business partners
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exhibit strong, independent critical thinking skills
  • Are able to effectively coordinate small report development projects
What you’ll need:
  • Experience with or ability to learn and use SQL, R, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx or similar tools
  • Willingness to work central or eastern time zone business hours
  • One year of data analysis experience
  • Intermediate to advance technical skills including Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Business Objects or similar tools
  • Bachelors degree or eight years of relevant experience as equivalent
