Role: Data Entry Specialist
On-Site: Fairfax, Virginia
Salary: $40,000 - $60,000
Recruiting Heroes is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Entry Specliast to join our client's team in Fairfax, Virginia. Our client is an exciting Accounting Firm with a fantastic client base of international and domestic clients including small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals.
As a Data Entry Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of essential information. Your primary responsibilities will include entering data into systems, ensuring data quality, and supporting various departments in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input data from various sources into our databases, spreadsheets, and other digital systems.
- Data Verification: Review and verify the accuracy of data entered, cross-referencing with source documents when necessary.
- Data Cleaning: Identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies in the data, maintaining data integrity.
- Data Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files and records, ensuring easy retrieval when needed.
- Reporting: Generate reports and summaries of data as requested by team leads or managers.
- Quality Control: Assist in implementing quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and security of sensitive data and information.
- Communication: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure the accurate and timely exchange of data.
- Deadline Adherence: Meet established data entry and project deadlines consistently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
- Basic knowledge of data entry procedures and data management best practices.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or in a similar role.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in data entry software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data entry keyboards.
- Interest in the Accounting field.
