LabCorp is seeking a Data Entry Operator to join our team in Houston, TX. The data entry operator will type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
*THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION*
Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry of all Custody and Control Forms (CCF), requisitions and patient demographic details into laboratory database and verify data for accuracy.
- Complete all documentation accurately and neatly and maintain and monitor chain of custody, and custody and control forms for completeness and acceptability.
- Identify errors / discrepancies and route to appropriate personnel.
- Follow all department and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare, sort and scan documents / data sheets / CCF’s and Requisitions.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Must be able to distinguish colors including shades of colors
- Work effectively in fast paced high volume environment
- Must be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and rotate/turn with up to thirty pounds
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to quickly change tasks as requested by leadership
- Proficient typing skills; 55wpm, 15,000kph (including 10key)
- Able to work independently under general supervision
