Data Center Operations Jobs

We are seeking experienced Data Center Operators with a proven track record to join our team. You will establish, maintain and monitor computer operations center processes, schedules, reporting and standards, as well as provide technical leadership and operations training.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for continuous trouble free operation of computer systems.
• Provide computer operations documentation and checklists.
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of operations personnel.
• Investigate incidents in the production environment, develop incident reports and other follow up items to the customer base.
• Make recommendations regarding improved operating systems, tools and procedures.
• Respond accordingly during system emergencies to minimize impact.
• Perform operations training as required.
• Responsible for day-to-day activities and performance.
• Ensure adherence to prescribed schedules and operating policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple customer and internal ‘to do’ lists.
• Ability to understand the ‘big picture’ and to identify and resolve key issues.
• Strong customer focus.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment.
• Good attention to detail and an ability to see things through the customer’s eyes.
• 3 years experience in IBM Power Systems platform.
