Data And Reporting Professional

The Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Data and Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Data and Reporting Professional 2 will support our MRA & Quality reporting suite. This individual integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. This individual will also identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within our current reporting suites.

Required Qualifications

• Intermediate proficiency in SQL (Oracle and Microsoft SQL)
• Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
• Microsoft Access skills including ability to link to external data sources, pass-through queries, data structure and relationship design.
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ of technical experience in data reporting
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Service Fund Knowledge
• Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
• Pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
• Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools
• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Able to identify process efficiencies and automate existing reporting suites
• Experience working with big data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
• 3 or more years of experience in SQL, Oracle, SAS
• Preferred Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail - data accuracy, formatting of reports, etc.

• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
