Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Data Analyst to join our team and provide support for billing and finance reporting, as well as data analysis within our operations. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and making data accessible to streamline business processes. You will collaborate with the Group Finance team located in Oxford, UK on monthly reporting and handle ad hoc day-to-day matters/projects as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
• Creating reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the overall consumer population.
• Performing statistical analysis of data.
• Preparing reports and delivering presentations to management or clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Designing and maintaining data systems and databases, including fixing coding errors and resolving data-related problems.
• Identifying and recommending ways to save money by streamlining business processes.
• Conducting data mining to extract valuable information from datasets and identify correlations and patterns.
• Utilizing tools and techniques to visually represent data in diagrams and graphs for easy comprehension.
• Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying attention to valuable trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Organizing and transforming information into easily understandable structures.
• Monitoring data quality and ensuring removal of corrupt data.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Strong understanding of data sources, organization, and storage.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analyst role or similar position.

Technical Qualifications

• Proficiency in database languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
• Experience with data visualization software like Tableau or Qlik.
• Familiarity with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Mathematical and statistical skills are valuable for gathering, measuring, organizing, and analyzing data.
