Role: Data Analyst

Location: Hartford, CT

:

• Gather requirements:

o GL – Verifying mapping of data between current state vs. GWBC

o Finance – Generally define requirements for Audit, Balance and Controls around finance needs. Example: Requirements on critical finance reports used for audit and balancing of premium (ASSETS, EDI)

o D&A- Generally define requirements for Core PI critical day 1 reporting, Example: Commission Payments to XYZ Agencies *we have a list ready

o Help define additional data needs not applicable within GWBC needed for GL, Finance and critical Day 1 reporting

• Agile Practices:

o They own story creation and also has the ability to create Features and perform ceremony tasks in absence of PO

o Meeting with business & technical stakeholders to define business needs and apply these as clear and concise requirements *we prefer someone within US Easternish time zone to be able to meet with our PBT Value Stream Stakeholders

o Ability to understand and communicate is an important need along with ownership of process and problem solving

• Technical Capability

o Reverse engineer from on-prem systems vs. new current state cloud applications; example Oracle ABS to GWBC AWS S3 to Snowflake

o Analytical methodologies for data flow – investigate and inquire

o Ability to influence solutioning given familiarity within the Data and Analytics space tools and apps available (Aurora, SIP, Glue, Talend, Databricks etc.)

o Also help guide input into Data Governance within GWBC based on knowing needed business /technical requirements
