Bachelor’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, AND two years of experience in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.
Duties Description
The NYSIF Claims Department is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to be an integral part of the Data and Innovation team. The Data Analyst will utilize the Claims Department’s vast and growing data warehouse to assist in improving resource allocation, claim level decision making, claims execution management and improve overall claim outcomes. The successful candidate will exhibit a high degree of flexibility, ability to learn new tools and methods of analysis, and have a strong commitment to performing high quality analysis.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Assist with the creation and implementation of chosen data solutions
• Perform maintenance tasks to manage and improve the integrity of those solutions once implemented
• Collaborate with supervisory staff to draft technical requirements for data solutions
• Contribute to the process of transforming raw data into decision intelligence solutions such as dynamic, user-centric dashboards, predictive modeling, and data analytics
