Dairy Technical Sales & Support - Mn

This Dairy Technical Sales and Support position is for the MN dairy business served by Purina Animal Nutrition. The area of responsibility is primarily the state of MN supporting customers and salespeople and selling to specific dairy customers and prospects through a consultative approach and education.

This position is remote (virtual) and offices from home but must be located within the territory covered which is the State of Minnesota.

This role is responsible for;

• Working both individually and through salespeople helping Coop/Dealer customers and prospects to mutually benefit and grow business by recommending the right nutrition and management practices for the producer’s operations.
• Leading the technical and nutritional support throughout an assigned area.
• Communicate with the Purina technical team and research staff to lead and promote innovative research and product development. Serve as a liaison with the Dairy Industry as a whole. Performs other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned or requested.
• Being the lead in nutrition and species education for the sales team and our Coop/Dealer customers.
• Working closely with Sales Specialists and LPS's to provide education and solutions for producers.

Experience and Education required;

• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills is a requirement for this position.
• Effective communication skills in various settings and computer skills including ration balancing and Office applications.
• Daily travel in an assigned geography.
• Enjoys and prefers working in the field with producers, salespeople and coops/dealers.
• PhD degree in nutrition with 5 or more years dairy industry experience or DVM and 5 or more years of dairy industry experience.

Typical base salary range is $120,000 - $160,000 DOE
