About The Opportunity


Pattons has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Specialist in our Parts department to work out of our Charlotte, NC branch. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Customer Service Specialist will support branch operations through the fulfillment of parts orders, preparation of quotes for parts and accessories, coordination of shipping and receiving activities.


As a Customer Service Specialist, You Will
  • Maintain clear communication with internal team (provide service coordinator parts needs, consistent and timely communication with purchasing dept).
  • Pricing
  • Inventory availability
  • Understand ordering trends and process customer purchase orders accordingly with a high sense of urgency
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and ERP management
  • Part specifications, sales orders, and acknowledgements
  • Gather critical information and enter quoting for customer review.
  • Lead times/expected ship dates
  • Provide effective customer service for internal and external stakeholders (via phone and email) to communicate:
  • Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the life of an order (Quote, order entry, acknowledgement, expediting, delivery/invoicing)
  • Research part numbers and adjust coding and cost/pricing as needed in the system


About You


The Customer Service Specialist opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following required qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background in Manufacturing or Industrial Supply Chain.
  • Proficient in Infor ERP LN or equivalent SAP ERP/inventory management system.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel ability (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
  • Desire to advance within a rapidly growing supply chain environment.
  • Strong experience in a customer-facing role with providing inquiry assistance (parts research, lead time/expected ship dates, inventory availability, etc).
  • 3+ years' experience in material handling or similar position, preferably in an industrial, distribution, or warehouse setting.
  • Experience entering and processing a high volume of purchase orders with a wide variety of parts/products.
