Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • POSITION:Customer Service CoordinatorDEPARTMENT: Inside Sales/Customer Service
  • STATUS:Non-ExemptREPORTING TO: Inside Sales Manager

Purpose

  • Provides support in a courteous and professional manner to customers regarding product orders, delivery, status, returns, shortages, missing boxes and/or payment issues, while ensuring customers receive the highest level of service that can be provided in accordance with Ty Inc.’s marketing philosophy.

Job Functions

Essential

  • Prepares, copies, and distributes various reports for department.
  • Identifies each customer’s specific needs and provides service based on those needs developing a firm business relationship between Ty and the retailer by answering inbound calls or making outbound calls within assigned territories.
  • Calls customers regarding address corrections on returned mail.
  • Strong, positive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all customer and company information.
  • Forces and voids orders from system.
  • Calls “Re-Activated” customers 90 days after account is re-activated to follow up / retain account.
  • Communicates with various internal employees and external customers.
  • Regularly proofreads and/or reviews documents.
  • Provides clerical and technical support by phone to Sales, Customer Service, and Credit departments.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed.


Other Functions

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Supports other departments with special projects.


Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lifts and/or carries objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

Educational/Training Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years related work experience in a Customer Service environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL Time is helpful.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, attention to detail with strong technological knowledge.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent typing and keyboard skills to multitask between data entry and phone conversation with customers.

Compensation:

  • $40,000 - $45,000 annually
  • Potential Bonus
