The Customer Service Representative is responsible for all customer requests with the assistance from customer service personal, Management, and Engineering. Keeps the customer informed of visits by maintaining a schedule to see them. Assist Customer Service and Management in seeing new opportunities for work as well as old product. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for all customer requests with the assistance from customer service personal, Management, and Engineering. Keeps the customer informed of visits by maintaining a schedule to see them. Assist Customer Service and Management in seeing new opportunities for work as well as old product. Works with management to help the business grow through controlled growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain schedule of defined visits with customers and continually update as required.
- Manage/monitor individual resources and quality effectiveness from visits with Customers.
- Follow established protocol with in Thortex management to keep all people informed of customer visits.
- Reference applicable drawings, specifications, and Manufacturing Process Instructions before responding to any requests for quote or replies to Customers.
- Accept Sales assignments with open, cooperative, positive and team-oriented attitudes.
- Prior to scheduling customer visits coordinate with Sales Manager.
- Work with management to keep them informed of all new opportunities.
- Perform required documentation for all out of town visits.
- Inspect informational documents from customers for any issues prior to passing along.
- Comply with Good ethical practices when working with customers and purchasing agents.
- Accurately and consistently document all Sales calls to keep Management informed of Customer wants and needs.

- Must have experience with MS Office software
- Experience in a Machining environment is a plus
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required
- Understand ISO 9001:2008/13485:2003 Quality System Requirements
- Two or more years working in the field of customer experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
