Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Summary: Vet Stop Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice whose focus is on preventative/wellness care. This includes immunizations, preventative screenings, and spay and neuter procedures. Vet Stop Animal Hospital also performs diagnostic and treatment services. This includes diagnostic bloodwork, radiographs, and urinalysis. This is followed by appropriate treatment plans based on results of said diagnostic services.
Vet Stop Animal Hospital prides itself on manifesting strong relationships with Clients and Patients. One of the largest contributors to this relationship is the Customer Service Representative.
Job Responsibilities: A Customer Service Representative employed by Vet Stop Animal Hospital is responsible for the following:
- Educate the Client on general care, medical conditions, and treatment for the Patient as instructed by the Veterinarian
- Collect payment for procedures performed from the Client
- Work to protect public health as it relates to the Patient
- Stay up-to-date on current veterinary medical news and practices
- Greet clients in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness in the workplace
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain clients and patient records
- Complete administrative duties as assigned
- Provide quality customer service
Job Requirements: A Customer Service Representative employed by Vet Stop Animal Hospital is seen as a source of knowledge and information by the Client so that they may better care for their pet (the Patient). They are also the warm face that welcomes clients to our facilities. Skills required of the Customer Service Representative include the following:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and the Veterinarian to successfully complete a diagnostic and treatment plan for the Patient
- Willingness to cross-train on other positions with the Company
- Dedication of long-term employment with Vet Stop Animal Hospital
- Must be able to provide quality customer service to the Client
- Must have basic computer and multi-line phone skills
- Must have a clear understanding of animal behavior and be able to work with a variety of patient demeanors
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Willingness to work with both cats and dogs
- Ability to be on feet/bend/squat/stand up/sit down for up to 4 hours at a time
