Job Description

Our employees’ impact can take many forms. In this role, the Customer Service Manager will serve and lead both customers and employees. By leading employees well, the Customer Service Manager will not only help to develop employees’ careers but also ensure an excellent customer service experience.
Some Examples Of Those Activities Will Include
  • Enhance community relationships by working with local governments to obtain franchise agreements.
  • Implement and lead strategies and initiatives to constantly improve the Customer Service department.
  • Support our Field employees to ensure accurate and efficient customer billing.
  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports to maximize their skills and career growth.
  • Ensure optimum customer service via timely billing processes.
  • Connect with customers to communicate electric technologies in order to improve their experience.
Qualifications
We’re seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who are obsessed with leading and developing teams and supporting and improving relationships and processes. Some examples of what we’re looking for include:
  • This position is people-centric, so excellent communication and leadership skills are incredibly valued and preferred as we seek the next Manager, Customer Service.
  • To be successful in this position, an Associate degree in business or five years of experience in customer service and utility operations is required.
  • These days, customer service is a nearly 24/7 experience. Because of that, we depend on our Customer Service Manager to periodically be available to support outage restoration efforts during off-hours.
  • The electric utility industry can be unique in some ways and to navigate the intricacies of the various aspects of the industry, we’re seeking a candidate with experience or knowledge of Public Utilities Commission and Public Service Commission regulations.
  • The Manager, Customer Service wears many hats, so experience in budgeting, cost control, planning and leading people will all be a huge plus.
