We are currently seeking a dedicated Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our dynamic team. As a CSR, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our valued policyholders, assisting them with their insurance needs, and ensuring their satisfaction. - Assist customers with policy changes, coverage questions, claim inquiries, and general insurance-related information.
- Provide outstanding customer service by promptly and courteously responding to inquiries from policyholders, agents, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and documentation in the company's database.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and report generation, as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and current information to customers.
- Process policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and new business applications accurately and efficiently.
- Handle and escalate customer complaints or complex issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Identify and cross-sell additional insurance products and coverage options to existing policyholders to enhance their insurance portfolios.
- Collaborate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other departments to address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and insurance management systems.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Prior experience in customer service, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience when dealing with customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically.
