Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland

Job Type: Full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday)

The Customer Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for working closely with new asset management clients to ensure a smooth and successful onboarding onto the Door platform. The Customer Onboarding Specialist will be the primary point of contact during the onboarding phase and will facilitate the transition between contract closure and ongoing customer relationship management. The Customer Onboarding Specialist will work directly with the client to understand the client business needs and goals, and work with the client to configure the platform to meet specific requirements.


Key Roles and Responsibilities


  • Gather and document client business requirements and suggested software enhancements throughout onboarding phase. Use internal business information systems to submit requests to product, support and engineering teams.
  • Proactive outreach to new asset management clients to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Work closely with data team to ensure client data is uploaded accurately.
  • Transition client to client success team for ongoing training, support and maintenance activities.
  • Document client’s business objectives and goals to create a client-specific onboarding plan to address client’s unique requirements.
  • Liaise with internal support and technical teams to coordinate the implementation of single sign-on (SSO) and system integration via the Application Programming Interface (API), as needed.
  • Perform initial software configuration to meet the client’s specific requirements. Provide initial and follow up platform training during onboarding phase.
  • Create client deliverables and documentation based on standard operating procedures and templates.


Key Skills


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, collaborative team environment while sharing knowledge and tasks to create mutual success.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role in a SaaS environment preferred.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in standard professional tools including Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, Jira, or similar customer relationship management, Salesforce automation, or ticketing systems.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with software implementation processes.
