Job Description

The person selected will become a part of the Sentinel (GBSD) project support team and work with others to develop new opportunities and capabilities to support DoD requirements. Due to the client we serve, this position requires US citizenship. This position can be performed remotely.

Your Role :

  • Participates as part of a project management team and assists a Senior Cultural Resources Specialist. Advises other project managers and teams as needed with the goal of developing into a cultural resource project manager.
  • Work with clients to meet Section 106 compliance requirements.
  • Supports field projects to include oversight of all survey plan development, data collection, and reporting, field inventory, monitoring, evaluative testing, and site mitigation within multiple states (prior experience in Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming highly desired).
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Department of Defense (DoD) clients to maximize contract and project opportunities.
  • Supporting preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and business development materials.
  • Authoring cultural resource sections of NEPA documents.
  • Coordination of technical crew members, including field directors and crew chiefs, to complete assigned tasks or serving as a field director or crew chief may be required based upon the project.
  • Provides technical guidance and expertise to others in support of their functions.
  • Working collaboratively with other experts in numerous locations across Tetra Tech's broad US geography.

Qualifications :

Master of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology with a concentration in North American Archaeology. Must have attended an archaeological field school and have at least 3 years of North American cultural resource management experience working in the western US. DOD Security Clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance required.

  • Data collection, environmental impact analysis, and report writing.
  • Previous experience with GIS data collection and software highly desired.
  • Familiarity with DoD plans and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of cultural resource requirements.
  • Prior experience writing NEPA cultural resource sections highly desired.
  • Direct experience with DoD Section 106 compliance; previous work with SHPOs in CO, NE, ND, MT, UT, and WY highly desired.
  • Prior experience conducting document reviews and writing technical documents.
  • Direct experience with DoD cultural resource regulations and projects; Air Force is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes.

Colorado salary range: $63,800-87,800
