Responsibilities: - Instruct students in state approved vocational curricular frameworks- Instruct in recipe and menu planning, preparing and cooking of food and aesthetics of preparation- Teach hands on skills used in the various workstations within the kitchen- Teach safety and sanitation procedures of the food service industry- Introduce students to related food industry occupations- Teach standard accounting and inventory procedures related to the food service industry- Collaborate with program staff- Participate in team meetings and in curriculum group meetings- Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress, interpret results and share progress reports with other staff members and parents- Maintain electronic records of student performance - Manage administrative duties- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians- Support students in groups and individually towards completion of senior project- Collaborate with co-op coordinator to develop partnerships with local businesses in order to support the development of a progressive model of internships and co-op placements- Assist students in the participation of SkillsUSA events- Complete ServSafe certificates and participate in scheduled events- Provide differentiated instruction to special education students to assure completion of program requirements- Develop and monitor work related experiences along with co-op coordinator- Creatively provide and interdisciplinary course of study that incorporates state curricular frameworks
