Job Description
Preferred interest in Career and Technical Education classes (Shop/Welding class environment)

To assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may learn effectively. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ability to work well with children: Basic knowledge of general office and audiovisual equipment; basic typing/keyboarding skills; good organizational and communication skills; computer knowledge/background desired.

Assist Career and Technical Education teacher(s) in a variety of duties.


EXPERIENCE:


Some experience working with children.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Graduate or GED minimum
  • State fingerprinting requirement
  • Valid Texas Educational Aide certificate
  • Equivalency of Associate's Degree or successful completion of locally administered competency examination

Placement of appropriate salary schedule will be according to years of experience and training.
