Job Description

A Commercial Bank headquarters in downtown Los Angeles is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the bank's growth objectives by approving or declining commercial and real estate loans. Your expertise in loan structuring and credit analysis will be instrumental in maintaining our credit quality standards. Additionally, you will contribute to loan portfolio risk management and provide guidance to loan officers throughout the loan approval process.


Responsibilities:

  • Offer support to loan officers in handling post-loan closing credit issues.
  • Utilize financial and credit data to make informed credit decisions within your designated authority.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors and regulators to address credit quality and risk management matters.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure commercial and real estate loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive loan proposals that address the financial needs of clients.
  • Evaluate annual credit reviews and proactively manage troubled loans to minimize risk.
  • Uphold strict adherence to bank underwriting and credit policies throughout the loan approval process.
  • Provide expert guidance and direction to loan officers and underwriters in analyzing complex credit situations.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned or requested.

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (equivalent experience) will be considered.
