About the Opportunity:
DMI is hiring a Creative Director.


The Creative Director at DMI is a dynamic leader with a passion for defining innovative and original ideas that combine the power of strategy, creativity, and technology to help consumers connect with brands and organizations. The Creative Director executes on a global scale; inspiring clients and internal teams with their creative vision, customer focus, and technological knowledge in order to deliver experiences that drive results. This is a senior role for creative thinkers and proven leaders.


Duties and
Responsibilities:

Creative Vision

  • Collaborate and consult with other disciplines and practice leads across DMI.
  • Inspire, support, and guide creative teams to explore what’s possible and execute on solutions that meet agency standards and drive real business results—while ensuring timeliness.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
  • Ensure that all of the client’s creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand.
  • Provide a strong creative vision and inspire the entire team to rally behind it.
  • Inspire a culture of creativity with clients, cross-functional departments, and the DMI organization as a whole by championing the value of creativity and the work of our team.
  • Distill client needs into refined digital creative ideas and solutions.
  • Pitch ideas confidently and present their creative vision clearly to clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of their creative team.

Team Management

  • Ability to form and maintain open, honest, and trusting relationships.
  • Provide inspiration, support, and guidance to help team members develop their skills and talents.
  • Build an environment for the creative team to work in and oversee their ideas and projects.
  • Identify new skill sets based on geographic market demand and provide training or hiring plans to fill those needs.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of Creative and Design Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Designers, Content Creators, and Video Editors/Animators, UI Designer, Design System Managers, and Creative Technologists.
  • Take responsibility for the creative philosophy and the standard of output across the team.
  • Attract and recruit exceptional talent to expand the team.

Business Development

  • Scope projects to allow for the appropriate time needed to deliver work that meets our standards.
  • Lead business development pursuits with heavy involvement in pre-sales activities, RFI/RFP and proactive bids, pitching new clients, and representing DMI to prospects in new business meetings.
  • Build out new service offerings based on the industry, client demands, and team skill set.

Thought Leadership

  • Craft and share thought leadership through presentations, white papers, and blog posts.
  • Stay on top of trends across the digital marketing and design industries, and promote innovative solutions for our team and across DMI.
Qualifications:
Education and Years of Experience:
  • 3+ years of leadership experience—preferably with top tier creative awards and recognition.
  • 10+ years of integrated digital agency and design experience.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
  • Mastery of either Art Direction or Design.
  • Demonstrated success in managing, leading, and guiding a team to produce exceptional work that gets results for clients.
  • Strong digital portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to bring to life innovative ideas and experiences.
Min Citizenship Status Required: Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
