Crane Operator Jobs

Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Operates Rough Terrain and Truck Mounted Hydraulic, Fixed Cab Hydraulic, Crawler Mounted Lattice Boom cranes (certifications are required for all mobile cranes). Operates Track Hoe and Overhead Gantries (as assigned). Cranes may be equipped for hoisting material or for earth movement by dragline. Crane Operator needs to be capable of acquiring the skills necessary to operate specialized robotics through provided training.

Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.

• Must have current crane operator certification through one of the following accredited agencies: National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), Operating Engineers Certification Program (OECP), National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Include certification number on the resume.
• Minimum of 5 years qualifying experience as a journeyman level crane operator.
• The demonstrated ability to skillfully operate a variety of track-hoes.
• Candidate must meet the physical requirements established in the DOE Hoisting and Rigging Manual. Climb ladders and access mobile cranes with a first step of 18 inches or more off the ground, which may require walking sideways on crane carriers with limited footing. Crawling and/or climbing on or under cranes to inspect drive lines, hydraulic lines, friction clutches, wire reels, booms and other mechanical operational components for all types of cranes. Physical and manual dexterity to operate hand and foot controls for extended periods of time. Shift work required. Drug screen requirements in accordance with ASME (American Society Mechanical Engineers) B30 requirements.

Desired Qualifications
Experience in radiological and hazardous material work including respiratory protection, Asbestos Worker, Radiation Worker II and 24 or 40 hour Hazardous Waste Worker training.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $42.503 - $44.741
