Supporting the Manager, Public Affairs and Corporate Citizenship, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager will work closely with the Public Affairs, Communications, Sponsorship and Events teams to successfully achieve the program objectives falling under this position’s responsibility.


The CSR Manager is responsible for managing and implementing the Social Investment programming that is consistent with CITGO values and its position as a corporate citizen. The CSR Manager is responsible for social investment, community outreach and local non-profit partnerships. The CSR Manager is a key contributor to promote employee engagement through the volunteer and matching gifts programs.


The CSR Manager position requires initiative, strategic and analytical skills, and creativity. The CSR Manager should have excellent relationship management and communication skills and be comfortable working in a small team in a complex environment.


This position is based at the corporate office in Houston; It requires occasional nights and weekends to work and attend events and travel up to 25%.


Degree


  • Bachelor’s Degree.


The minimum number of years of job related experience required by this job is:
  • 10 years of Corporate Citizenship, Non-Profit or Government experience.


List Any Specialized Training Or Unique Skills Required


  • Valid Driven License is Required.
  • Knowledge of database management tools and software (excel, PowerBI, SAP, Versaic and Spark preferred).
  • Strong initiative, strategic and analytical skills.
  • Experience in working with non-profit/charitable organizations (in Houston, preferred).
  • Position requires at least 25% of travel time and attendance of work events evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of social investment programming in the areas of STEM education, disaster relief and resilience, environment and health.
  • Experience in the grant making cycle inclusive of design, RfP, award, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in either non-profits, government or corporate entities (preferred).


Manage and implement activities and initiatives to support Social Investment:


  • Manages systems and processes for CSR initiatives/charitable donations including strategy, design, planning, data collection, accountability, measurement, frameworks and tools.
  • Facilitate timely briefings and updates and flow of impact data and information.
  • Oversee opportunities for cross-departmental, socially driven efforts to integrate or amplify CSR (particularly Human Resources, Brand and Marketing and HSSE).
  • Responsible for collecting and reporting impact data collection for matching gifts, volunteering, charitable contributions, strategic CSR initiatives, across company footprint.
  • Oversees and executes charitable donations, strategic signature grants programs, and matching gifts.
  • Ensures that CSR goals and objectives are being met in all CITGO operational areas.


Compliance and Administration


  • Manage online grants management software (Versaic) to ensure all charitable donations proposals, reports and charitable contribution receipts are received and complete.
  • Act as subject matter expert for department and company on policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Manage online employee volunteering and giving platform (Spark).
  • Maintain and update as necessary department procedures for charitable donations.
  • Monitor social investment expenditures from other business units to ensure compliance.
  • Track social investment budget.


Stakeholder Engagement


  • Foster existing community partner and grantee relationships.
  • Represent CITGO at community and partner events.
  • Plan and manage activities, events, and/or volunteer opportunities related to the grants programs such as National STEM Day, partner appreciation, Hunger Action Month, etc.
  • Research potential partner and CSR initiatives.


Reporting
  • Identify and share impact stories of CITGO social investment and volunteerism on individuals and communities.
  • Analyze charitable giving data to demonstrate social impact for use in quarterly accountability meetings, annual report, ESG report and other internal and external communications pieces.


Support other special projects and tasks as assigned
