Summary
Reporting to the Director of FP&A and Content Production Finance, you’ll play an impactful role in building MasterClass’s financial planning and analysis processes with a focus on content production and other operating expenses. You will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally. You will be responsible for the strategic financial planning for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow; delivering accurate financial visibility to executives and investors; and driving continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, detail-oriented finance professional and critical thinker that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do

• Provide in-depth analysis of financial results to understand performance against plan/forecast and collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.
• Prepare financial reports in a timely and accurate manner to support internal business review and external investor reporting needs.
• Manage the content production financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tasks covering both standard procedures, such as budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and ad hoc requests.
• Build and improve processes, leveraging systems, and creating necessary alignment between different organizations to streamline the current work of production finance activities.
• Build and enhance financial models to monitor trends and key drivers and proactively recommend a course of action if risk is present.

About You

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective in working cross-functionally with departments throughout the organization
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Previous experience in content production space is preferred but not required
• Minimum 3 years of FP&A or financial advisory/investment banking experience with strong financial modeling skills
• Strong analytical thinker who is adept at complex analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
