Cliff Berry, Inc. is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller for our team in Ft. Lauderdale. The Corporate Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for many aspects of tax reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with excellent analytical skills, is process oriented, and highly disciplined to following established processes and controls. In addition, this position will interact with all departments of the company, which requires effective communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a critical leadership position within our organization. We are a company and department dedicated to achieving success and driving performance aligned with our business goals. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Controller, with demonstrated success in developing cost savings initiatives. SAP software experience preferred.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a critical leadership position with primary responsibilities to:

Essential Duties:

• Manage the accounting department staff and their daily functions.
• Prepare accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, payroll and budgets.
• Ensure the financial results of the organization are properly accounted for in accordance with GAAP.
• Safeguard the company assets, and developing and maintain internal controls.
• Experience with multi-location operations and cost-allocations is a major plus.
• Produce complete, accurate and timely, monthly financial statements and bank reports.
• Maintain the company’s accounting practices and procedures.

The ideal candidate:

• Crystal report or similar experience is preferred
• 3 years supervisory experience managing an accounting team
• Experience working with business intelligence software, such as SAP
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with 5 years accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Well organized with excellent follow up
