Role Summary

As the Controller, you would have responsibility for overseeing financial statements invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Additionally, you would direct Accounting Managers and department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate will have 10+ year’s experience in a general accounting comparable role and is experienced in multiple accounting softwares.

What You’ll Do

• Provide weekly management reports for business units
• Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and budgets recording payables, receivables and other entries
• Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business
• Understand the financials of a company in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
• Keep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
• Update, develop and implement systems and processes for all aspects of accounting internal/external reporting
• Monitor a company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs

What You Need

• You can take a complex problem, break it down into its smaller parts, and work systematically to find a solution
• Ability to define and manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), driving insights to develop and deliver
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field, Accounting major preferred
• 10+ years experience as a manager or supervisor in construction related fields, with responsibilities for management, P&Ls, sales, and project oversight
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)and Sage 300/Intacct or and/or Quickbooks.
• Proven project and organizational management experience; engage with senior stakeholders and own delivery on key projects to move the organization forward
