Distinctivs Party is looking for a Financial and Administrative Controller. At Distinctivs Party, we bring fun to our customers with top-notch creative party products that we manufacture in Newnan, GA. We are a small company where we all wear a few different hats. This creates a lot of fun and excitement every day. We are a direct-to-consumer (D2C) eCommerce company that focuses on selling through major platforms like Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Shopify, and more.

As our controller, you will be responsible for both the financial and administrative functions of the company. You will be supporting the operations team, working with the Operations Manager, part of the management team, and reporting to the CEO. The controller role is a new position within the company due to growth and the pending retirement of the part-time office manager. Currently, bookkeeping is handled by a third-party company, and will be looking to bring this in-house within this role.

This is a Remote (work from home) position with monthly travel to the Georgia facility required.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• General Bookkeeping - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Payroll Processes, and General Ledger Entries.
• Reporting - Financial Statements, Budgets, and Forecasts. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a relevant field
• Complete knowledge of internal controls and accounting guidelines
• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar position
