Job Overview:

Under the general direction of the Doctoral Program Director, Industrial and Organizational Psychology Programs, the Core Faculty member teaches within the MA and Ph.D. programs, supervises credit and non-credit research, including thesis and dissertation projects, and mentors students. The Core Faculty member collaborates with the Program Director to ensure effective operations, compliance, and execution of the strategic plan(s) of the program. The Core Faculty member supports culture development, management efforts, and other initiatives geared toward helping the growth and improvement of the programs (i.e. program and course review, presentations for prospective students, etc).


Education/Experience:

  • Minimum five (5) years relevant experience supporting students in an online learning environment required.
  • Doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Organizational experience (minimum 3 years) consulting in field of I/O psychology.
  • Past teaching experience in a on-ground or online teaching environment, specifically in organizational leadership and/or industrial/organizational psychology.

  • Strong research acumen and abilities
  • Strong communication acumen including written, oral, and listening
  • Proficient and functional knowledge of learning management systems, specifically Canvas
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and visioning acumen
  • Strong collaboration acumen and abilities
  • Proficient and functional knowledge of MS Office (Work, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to proactively identify challenges and barriers to stated objective and employ assistance in addressing these
  • Strong demonstration of alignment with Adler’s social justice mission and vision

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises dissertations and thesis projects within the programs.
  • Supports timely development of programmatic Student Learning Outcome Assessment Program (SLOAP) reports and other assessment data. Works closely with program faculty to ensure assessment data is utilized to improve curriculum and student learning outcomes.
  • Teaches courses within programs.
  • Supports implementation of all programmatic requirements, including practicum, dissertation, and thesis (as applicable).
  • Supports implementation, evaluation, and annual review of each academic program’s education outcomes including program outcomes, student learning outcomes and faculty outcomes.
