Job Description

At ABCD & Company (ABCD), we reimagine the way our clients do marketing and events. Our team of inspiring leaders is dedicated to “Think Brand and Think Big”. We are looking to expand that team with a talented, experienced, and enthusiastic Content Manager. This individual will report directly to the Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications.

The ideal candidate is an expert wordsmith and storyteller, and able to increase stakeholder engagement through highly compelling language and relevant content. A passionate cross-function collaborator, able to create a wide array of communications material including technical writing, market information and marketing content, and highly skilled at auditing existing content, and researching, questioning, listening, distilling, organizing, and fact checking.

A day in the life includes developing content strategies that leverage email and marketing automation, creating and managing content across various digital channels, attending strategy meetings with the marketing, creative and event teams, writing scripts, speeches, programming, analyzing content performance metrics, meeting with clients, collaborating with our creative team to develop written and visual content, using analytics tools to measure engagement rates and adjusting strategies as needed.

Copy Writer & Content Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing long-term and short-term content, and publishing, editorial and advertising calendars that align with client objectives and campaign timelines.
  • Monitoring and analyzing content and advertising performance metrics through analytics tools such as Sprout Social, to optimize campaigns and improve engagement rates.
  • Strategizing and executing the use of video and podcasts in the overall marketing strategy.
  • Developing and executing content strategies that can help drive ABCD and client client goals and objectives, while promoting a consistent brand identity through ABCD and client social media profiles.
  • Research competitors to find content and keyword gaps, and create blogs, email newsletters, how-to-guides, brand booklets, white papers, E-books, case studies, presentations, infographics, market analysis summaries, sponsored articles, web content and more.
  • Utilizing emerging technologies and immersive tech such as AI to conceptualize, execute, analyze and automate content and advertising.
  • Developing email campaigns targeted to users who sign up for gated content or opt-in to mailing lists.
  • Collaborate with leadership, subject matter experts and team members to create innovative content and advertising ideas.
  • Conducting research on client industries and competitors to inform content and advertising strategies.
  • Creating shoppable content and other e-commerce strategies to drive leads, subscribers, and awareness.

Key Competencies:

  • At least 4 years experience as content manager, meeting deadlines in an editorial role
  • Enthusiastic about writing, storytelling, and communications
  • An outgoing personality and proactive team player
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or English, Psychology or related field
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and excellent project and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
