Job Description

Major League Baseball is on a multi-year mission to reimagine the fan journey and bring innovation to the baseball experience. The MLB Ballpark app and ticketing are the primary touch points for converging the physical and digital worlds for fans, providing deeper interactions when planning or attending live games at the ballpark and creating lifelong memories. The Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations role within the MLB Ballpark Experience and Ticketing Product organization will be responsible for working with internal MLB stakeholders, Clubs and our third-party partners and vendors for execution of solutions and Club customization opportunities within the MLB Ballpark app.


The MLB Ballpark app consists of various MLB built native features, vendor solutions and Club content that allows for a complete fan enhancing experience while planning a visit and/or attending a MLB game. In this role, the Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance and oversight of Club, internal or trust third-party partner requests for select locations within the Ballpark app. Ownership, troubleshooting and maintenance of all content hosted on these pages is a priority to align with requirements and noted guidelines for design, contextual or business parameters. To align with these tasks, strategic reporting will be required to supply to both internal and external stakeholders information that show traffic patterns and use this data to make recommendations for ongoing success. The Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations will also help follow, maintain documentation and end-to-end processes to help communicate and enforce compliance for content and feature submissions and other feature activation opportunities, including but not limited to sponsorship activations, vendor activations and Club content. Work for all noted items will require the Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations to proactively follow workstreams to ensure a streamlined, transparent, and efficient process for all Clubs, internal MLB stakeholders and trusted third-party partners. In addition to work inside the MLB Ballpark app, the Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations will take an active role in configuration for Deep Link Marketing and loyalty programs that are run in conjunction with our Clubs and internal MLB Stakeholders. Work in this area may include establishing, executing and reporting on campaigns, ensuring compliance with all noted standards, recommendations and legal requirements.


As a Coordinator, Ballpark app Operations, you will be working on multiple, high-exposure revenue generating projects for Clubs within the MLB Ballpark app. An ideal candidate is highly organized, skilled with managing multiple projects, has a keen attention to detail and commitment to process, and a willingness for internal collaboration and establishing cross-functional relationships.


You Will:

  • Prepare reporting related to Club content within the MLB Ballpark app, including by not limited to dashboard visualization and compiling insights based on data and analytics using provided tools.
  • Work with Clubs, internal and external stakeholders to review, test and launch content within the MLB Ballpark app in various areas, including but not limited to Club content, MLB League content, sponsorship activations, loyalty programs, vendor activations, SMS campaigns, and deep link marketing campaigns.
  • Other project based operational tasks as defined by the supervisor or leadership.
  • Manage and organize multiple concurrent projects or implementations across various technologies and requesting stakeholders
  • Maintain and follow clear, concise product documentation (i.e., requirements documentation, process guidelines).
  • Conduct frequent QA assessments of the MLB Ballpark app, using operational awareness from content launch to track and evaluate current content landscape to determine trends and provide initial level analysis and recommendations to leadership for best practice recommendations.
  • Provide proactive, clear, complete status updates to all stakeholders (Club, internal and external) on content requests.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of XML / JSON data structures
  • Working knowledge of hardware, app, and web technology
  • 3+ years in service-based roles
  • Ability to make quick strategic decisions, prioritizing and executing on goals
  • MS Office Word, Excel, and Powerpoint; Google Docs
  • Ability to understand new technologies quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
