WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Collaborating with multiple parties including our previous parent company, third parties, external consultants and internal departments to fully complete transition of all accounting functions in-house;
  • Overseeing and directing primary Finance and Accounting activities including: monthly close-to-report cycle, cash planning/management, analysis and accounting for complex transactions, external reporting, audit and compliance, and financial system implementation/maintenance, analysis of results of operations
  • Transitioning the Accounting department to “steady state” by getting into the details of our operational and accounting processes, and creating best in class processes and controls
  • Assisting the Head of Tax to ensure that all tax returns and issues are planned and accounted for properly and timely.
  • Collaborating with the Director of FP&A to develop and implement annual budgets, forecasts and projections, and financial planning procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Optimizing core processes throughout the Accounting organization to drive efficiencies in the monthly close and consolidation of financial information, ensuring accounting policies and practices comply with accounting standards and the company’s governance policies, procedures and control systems
  • Working on special projects in various initiatives that require input from an accounting and controls perspective, such as reviews of capital structure, M&A transactions, system implementation, new product development, accounting policy, etc.
  • Leading the post-implementation support of multiple new systems including ERP, Revenue and shipboard systems;
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including the general ledger, revenue accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, cash management, and consolidation
  • Overseeing and directing a comprehensive system of financial reporting to provide pertinent information on the Company’s operating results and financial condition to management and stakeholders
  • Preparing the quarterly and annual financial statements and serving as the primary contact with external auditors and regulatory agencies for quarterly reviews and annual audit of financial statements;

You should apply if you:

  • Are easy to work with and can build strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders
  • Have 10 years experience in accounting with a track record of managerial responsibility in areas of accounting operations, preferably with a public company and/or attainment of the level of Senior Manager with a Big 4 public accounting firm preferred
  • Will roll up your sleeves and get into the details to optimize accounting processes, controls, and reporting
  • Are highly organized, have a high degree of accuracy and are detail-oriented
  • Have expert knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards and issues
  • Have a great sense of urgency in completing deliverables and meeting deadlines
  • Have experience leading large teams of geographically dispersed individuals
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in active and good standing
