DavidWayneAssociates is a specialized accounting/finance search firm. We have been retained by a commercial Construction Company to identify a Controller. This position will report directly to the CFO. Fast paced, entrepreneurial environment - must enjoy working on multiple projects at any given time.

Controller Position Summary: The Controller will supervise the day-to-day activities in the accounting department, insure that sound and reliable accounting practices are adhered to and is responsible for preparing and distributing timely and accurate financial information to the management team.

Controller Position Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Balances all company accounts.
• Looks for better ways to service the financial area in planning for future needs (i.e. computer, revised systems, relations between finance and various other corporate functions).
• Prepares and distributes monthly financial information to management.
• Monitors credit research, collection problems, etc.
• Ensures that invoices, payments, and payroll are current and accurately compiled.
• Performs the accounting for affiliated business entities.

· Work closely with Operations teams.

· Coordinate Year-End review process and tax returns with outside CPA Firm

Controller Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree Accounting or Finance

· Must be a top performer with a minimum 5-7 years of experience, preferably in construction.

· Reliable, self-starter able to work autonomously.

· Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal relationships (Excellent communication skills, both written and oral).

· Fast-paced environment, must be able to multi-task and shift gears frequently.

· Strong problem-solving skills, and detail oriented.

· High level of energy and desire to grow in an entrepreneurial environment
