Job Description

Role: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Type: Direct Hire

Client: Automotive OEM Tier Supplier

Bonus: 15%

Benefits: PTO, 401k, Insurance, etc.,

Relocation: Assistance available

Travel: 50%


Industrial/Continuous Improvement Engineers from manufacturing/automotive backgrounds with 4+ years of 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen implementation experiences are preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize, and support) are supported and adhered to.
  • Provides Value Chain Analysis by monitoring and reporting plant activities and results in a timely manner.
  • Reviews all projects to ensure that action plans, timelines, budgets and requirements are met and/or exceeded.
  • Manage, set direction, facilitate and support Continuous Improvement initiatives for the organization. Primary focus will be on Lean Manufacturing Methods, Internal Logistics, Process Improvement, Value Chain Analysis and Standardization of Leadership Practice.
  • Coordinates plant initiatives and ideas with the President & C.O.O and Plant Managers of each facility.
  • Reviews and streamlines Internal Logistics and Process Improvement
  • Provides direction and support during Lean Manufacturing Methods.
  • Provides training related to Continuous Improvement initiatives at the required facilities.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Manufacturing systems experience with knowledge of manufacturing best practices


Education:

  • University or College degree in Engineering preferred or applicable/relevant experience equal to a degree
