Job Description

Essentra Components has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Erie, PA. Essentra Components is a global market leader in plastic injection molded, vinyl dip molded and metal components. Uniquely, combining the expertise and flexibility of a manufacturer with the service and range of a distributor.

The CI Engineer is responsible for establishing Continuous Improvement Process culture throughout the supply chain in order to deliver sustainable and increased productivity. As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will also be responsible for improving the organization’s Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety parameters helping to strengthen Essentra’s competitiveness. You will also ensure that all IE activities are maintained to highest levels to deliver world-class performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation and deployment of Lean Manufacturing including creating a plan, coordinate activities including:
  • Implementation and deployment of CI tools and techniques including defining the tools, setting up CI activity plans, and delivering CI-ECS Savings plan.
  • Ensuring cooperation and coordination between functions and processes
  • Implementation and deployment of Industrial Engineering including creating work/process standards, validate accurate IE standards, and ensure effective application of 5S.
  • Establishing Continuous Improvement Process, which consist of Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering.
  • Monitoring the lean manufacturing implementation plan and report to Site Director
  • Creating solutions for barriers of implementation plan
  • Process Excellence Deployment – Follow the plan for world class lean transformation and focus on KPI creation and improvement.


Who we are looking for:

  • Advanced problem solving techniques
  • Advanced knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Tools & Techniques
  • Lead improvement activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant work experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred
  • Project Management Knowledge
