The Continuous Improvement Lead’s main responsibility is to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the development and delivery of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement content and training. Delivery of the training will use a “learning by doing” approach with the focus being on practical application of Lean skills being taught in live situations. This will mean working and supporting alongside manufacturing teams to ensure that they are competent to train others. The Continuous Improvement Practitioner is responsible for the ongoing curation of the library of materials and gathering / actioning training feedback from trainees and managers.
Your responsibilities:
  • 25-50% travel required
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Identify core and bespoke training and development needs
  • Design training curriculum
  • Deliver multi-level Operational Excellence / Johnson Matthey Production System / Lean tools training using various methods including live projects and simulations
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with multi-level stakeholders across the organisation
  • Ability to identify and apply relevant skills and training evaluation techniques
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
  • Collaborate with Operational Excellence / Johnson Matthey Production System key stakeholders to:
  • Produce written skills assessment and training status reports
  • At least 8-10 years of proven experience in design, delivery and coaching of Lean Six Sigma/Operational Excellence tools training
  • Excellent organisational and project management ability
  • Develop and implement the Operational Excellence / Johnson Matthey Production System training plan
  • Delivery of Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous Improvement projects within a manufacturing environment
  • Provide multi-level 1:1 and team coaching support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills
  • Experience of delivering training at multiple organisational levels desirable.
  • Design and development of SharePoint sites and Tableau reporting desirable.
  • Management of multi-level stakeholders
  • Create training manuals, guides, and course materials
  • Carry out individual and team Operational Excellence skills and competency assessments
  • Management and curation of training library
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Continuously evaluate effectiveness of curriculum content and execute necessary improvements
