Runa is pioneering a first-of-its-kind payment rail capable of issuing, sending and accepting digital value at scale.

Runa's is transforming the payouts landscape with a new digital payments infrastructure that enables businesses to send digital value to anyone, anywhere instantly, free of charge for senders and recipients. Recipients can immediately spend the value they receive on the Runa network including 2000 plus merchants across 30 countries, completely independently of the legacy card rails. Whilst this position is remote first, we have a preference for this person to be based in either Denver, the New York City areas, or the Bay area and will be prioritising applications from candidates in these locations.


About The Role


As Runa's Content Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company's brand perception and driving business growth through impactful content strategies. Sitting on the growth marketing team, this is a new role that will develop and execute our overall content strategy, positioning us as a thought leader in the space and helping us drive expansion in key verticals. In the short term, you'll help write content such as videos, infographics, and social content, as well as manage a small team of freelance writers, with a plan to hire and manage an internal team in 2024.


What excites you:


Content Strategy, Planning, and Execution


  • Maintaining and upholding the company's brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content assets, ensuring a consistent and recognizable brand identity
  • Overseeing the creation and curation of a diverse set of content types including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, eBooks, social media, and more
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to understand target audiences, market trends, and business objectives
  • Building an SEO strategy for both on-site and off-site and providing recommendations to optimize against your plan
  • Helping connect the dots across channels and platforms including web, social, advertising, blogs, webinars, and more
  • Identifying content gaps and opportunities, and creating a content plan to guide production and distribution
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy that supports Runa's business strategy
  • Becoming our in-house AI expert as it pertains to content, and leveraging AI tools in order to scale our content production


Performance Analysis and Optimization:


  • Establishing and owning content-related OKRs within the growth marketing team
  • Using data-driven insights to optimize content strategies and improve audience engagement and conversion rates
  • Monitoring content performance metrics and conducting regular analysis to identify areas for improvement and success


Industry and Competitive Analysis:


  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies as it pertains to the payouts and payments space
  • Conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry benchmarks
