Our continued growth has created an immediate need for a Construction Superintendent located in Malone, NY.
The client for this project is for the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate Pre-Activity meetings prior to significant scopes of work.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
• Complete punch lists and track completion
• Perform additional duties as deemed necessary
• Conduct and document QA/QC activities through use of First Delivery Inspections, Closure Inspections, Mock-Up Inspections, and Acceptance Testing
• Coordination and scheduling with 3rd party specialty inspections (i.e.: asbestos abatement monitoring or steel inspection)
• Assist the contractor(s) with the coordination of activities on the construction site with the other trades and the facility
• Completion of Daily Field reports which track weather, contractor activities, sub-contractors, visitors, field directives, and manpower
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted standards of workmanship
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
• Offer recommendations to improve constructability
• Review contractor As-Builts monthly to ensure they are updated

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, possess a driver's license, have reliable transportation and be able to work autonomously
• OSHA 30hr certification
• Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred
• Minimum (4) years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Inspector on large scale, multi-contract building project.
• Familiarity with the Uniform Building Code
• Minimum (6) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation project.
