Job Description
Air Systems Engineering has been in business for 50 years serving greater Puget Sound area businesses with their commercial HVAC needs. We’re currently seeking an experienced Construction Sales Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Engineering and Production departments to successfully manage projects within estimated budgets and timelines, being involved from project inception to owner turnover.
Salary Range: $90,000 to $150,000 per year
You must live within reasonable commute distance to our office in Tacoma, WA, or plan to relocate prior to start date. Remote work is not available.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with Consulting Engineers, General Contractors, Building Owners, and Utility Representatives.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of heating, cooling, and ventilation applications for commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Responsibilities will vary and may include presentations, quotes, technical support, jobsite visits, troubleshooting, and sales.
  • Research and develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Required Skills & Certifications
  • Strong desire to interface with clients.
  • 5-years related experience in sales, construction, and HVAC fields.
  • 4-year technical degree preferred in mechanical engineering.
  • Have good understanding of current Energy Codes, Mechanical Codes, and ASHRAE standards.
  • Ability to provide timely estimates and proposals for projects consideration.
