Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Contact vendors/subcontractors during the bidding phases to ascertain coverage of trade items and identify problems that may exist.
  • May be requested to assist in the development of bid lists for trade items.
  • Spreadsheet development and responsibility: Assist in the preparation of assigned spreadsheets based on template provided by Procurement designed to confirm that bidders have complied with contract documents, scope requirements, quantities of key materials and labor, alternates and unit pricing, schedules and logistics plans, labor costing, insurance and bonding requirements and any other project-specific requirements.
  • Develop general knowledge of all contract documents.
  • Schedule inbound deliveries for each department
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with purchase order invoices and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Prepare procurement contractual documents (Work Releases, subcontracts and purchase orders) as required. Review contractual agreements (master agreements). Prepare spreadsheets as necessary.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Perform required Item Maintenance within system, Buildertrend.

Prepare quantity/takeoff of floor plans via vu360 for bids with vendors.

Qualifications

Minimum four years of college with formal engineering or architectural training or equivalent building construction experience and summer internship/co-op experience in construction highly desirable. Knowledge of general contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications is also desirable. Must have good interpersonal and teamwork skills, desire to learn, ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Should be proficient with computer applications as required to perform responsibilities.
