Construction Project Manager Jobs

Alexander Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager.

The Project Manager will play a key role in the organization and implementation of projects from start to finish while reporting directly to the Owner. As a core company member, you will be expected to be professional, polite, friendly, reliable, and attentive while also being assertive.

The Project Manager will be expected to be organized, responsive and willing to meet each project with a positive attitude and willingness to overcome any challenges that may arise.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of commercial construction experience.

• Know local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.

• Have an in-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.

• Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test as well as potential annual screening.

• Be proficient in both verbal and written communications.

• Must be willing to work after standard business hours and on weekends if necessary.

• Must be willing to occasionally travel to projects within 100 mile radius of Memphis.

Each day you will be expected to;

• Work closely with Project Superintendents, Property Managers, Architects, Engineers, Tenants and Owners. Must ensure all assigned projects are being coordinated with the construction plan as developed by the project team. Must ensure projects adhere to construction schedule & estimated cost. Must ensure all customers’ expectations are fulfilled.

• Upon a project being awarded, must identify and notify Subcontractors and Suppliers

• Must apply for necessary permits & track plans review progress.

• Must expeditiously obtain and process project submittals from subcontractors and suppliers then distribute them to architects and engineers for approval.

• Must stay in contact with Superintendent & Subcontractors daily to ensure projects are properly staffed and proper materials are on site to keep the project on schedule.

• Must Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure they have the information necessary to effectively build the project.

• Will be required to host preconstruction and occasional progress site meetings to ensure each trade is performing as efficiently as possible, that they are in compliance with contract documents and that they are adhering to the schedule & budget.

• Maintain ongoing records of project progress & keep office Staff informed with updates.

• Assist with scheduling inspections including certificate of occupancy with building and fire inspectors.

• Diplomatically resolve issues and emergencies with subcontractors.

• Ensure safety rules and regulations are maintained to create a safe and clean job site.
