Primary function of a Concrete Finisher Helper Laborer:

Assist concrete crews with the following: Place and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand tools. Place concrete for walls and footings. Grind and rub hardened concrete to a uniform surface.

Duties:

Typical Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist concrete and other onsite crews as needed.
• Must be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies.
• Utilize concrete vibrators to consolidate concrete.
• Check forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
• Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete by using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, and/or hand tools.
• Complete all additional duties as required by supervisor.
• Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
• Move discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms then spread, level, and smooth concrete, using a rake, come along, shovel, hand, or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float; rough surface with a broom if plan call for it.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• Verify equipment and materials are used properly, and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Must be able to respond quickly to supervisors directions due to the concrete setting up.

La función principal de un Acabador de Concreto y Ayudante:

Assistir a los trabajadores de concreto con lo siguiente: Colocar y terminar exteriores de concreto, como pisos, senderos, aceras, caminos o cunetas utilizando una variedad de herramientas manuales. Colocar el concreto para paredes, muros, losas y cimentaciones. Instalar y vibrar el concreto para un acabado uniforme.

Funciones:

Algunas funciones típicas que no se limitan a:

• Utilizar vibradores de concreto para consolidar el concreto.
• Asistir a los trabajadores de cemento y otros trabajadores en el mismo sitio de trabajo.
• Debe de tener en cuenta la seguridad y adherirse a todos los procedimientos de seguridad.
• Verificar las formas que mantienen el concreto para ver si están bien construidas.
• Supervisar si el viento, calor, y frio afecta el curado del concreto durante todo el proceso.
• Cumplir con todos los deberes adicionales dirigidos por el Supervisor.
• Expansión de molde en la articulación y bordes, usando herramientas para afilar, punteros, y reglas.
• Poner las formas que sostiene el concreto al tono deseado, grado, y profundidad.
• Mover el canal de descarga del camión para dirigir concreto en formas, luego se extiende, nivela, y se alisa el concreto, usando rastrillo, pala, manos, o paleta , equipo eléctrico o manual, o flotador; si es necesario barrer los alrededores del concreto con una escoba.
• Astillar, raspar, y pulir puntos altos, crestas, y proyecciones ásperas para terminar el concreto usando cinceles neumáticos, pulidoras eléctricas, y/o herramientas de mano.

Habilidades, Conocimientos, Cualificaciones & Experiencia:

• Debe ser capaz de responder rápidamente a las instrucciones de supervisores debido a la instalación de concreto.
• Verificar que equipos y materiales se utilicen correctamente, e informar condiciones inseguras al supervisor.
